The Bloomington Wool & Fiber Festival showcases all our hard-working local and regional wool and fiber farmers, as well as the amazing things that are created with wool and fiber by our talented local and regional fiber artists, and the instruction in fiber arts that only our knowledgeable local and regional fiber farmers and artists can provide.

Our local and regional wool and fiber farmers are critical to the vibrancy of our fiber arts community.

Nelly DeVault, co-founder

When we set out to organize the Bloomington Wool & Fiber Festival, we knew that we wanted to pay tribute to the dedicated local and regional wool and fiber farmers on whom we rely for our fiber arts supplies. Without them, our ability to create would be woefully diminished.

In addition, we knew that we wanted to provide our talented fiber artists the venue they need in order to show the public all the many wonderful items they create with wool, alpaca, cotton, and other organic fiber materials.

And lastly, we knew attendees would want to learn from our many local and regional fiber artists who are gifted instructors in their field.

We are all friends and kindred spirits, and intend to become even better friends and family, through this exciting opportunity to share the joys of wool and organic fibers as showcased by our local and regional farmers, fiber artists, and fiber arts instructors.
