Tackle the basics of Estonian Lace with this class. Explore nupps, twisted ground stitches, delayed decreases, gathers and cables in lace. We will make practice swatches with four different stitch patterns to execute these fun lace stitches and practice making these specialized stitches. Plus take home an intermediate or advanced Estonian Lace pattern designed by Kelli.
Bring: Students should bring a range of needles in sizes from US 2-6, scissors, tape measure, highlighter tape or post-it notes or magnetic chart, writing implement or note taking item(s), scrap yarn in both lace and fingering weight for making lace swatches.

Workshop fee includes booklet with beginning Estonian lace information, charts, and helpful tips from Kelli. Plus choose a pattern from Kelli’s catalog of modern lace knitting designs.
Artist’s Bio: Kelli has decades of experience in both education and the fiber arts. With multiple degrees in the science of learning, she has applied her meticulous nature to teaching fiber arts. Kelli has taught classes around the country in subjects ranging from spinning and knitting to Mediterranean knotted lace and pattern design. She can be found teaching nearly every year at the International Organization of Lace, inc. (IOLI) convention, as well as specialty lace conventions and workshops.
