Create Your Own Roving and Top

In this workshop you will learn to use hand cards, wool combs, and a drum carder to create your own carded roving and combed top, suitable for spinning, needle, or wet felting! Explore techniques for blending and prep for a multitude of final uses and effects.

Artist’s bio: Nelly is a fiber artist from central Indiana who has found her calling in bringing the craft of making yarn by hand to people of all ages as a way to develop community, empower youth, and increase awareness of this path to better mental health. Nelly lives in Anderson, Indiana, has four children and four cats, and teaches classes and workshops in central Indiana and throughout the Midwest.
