Need to ask a fellow weaver who might be able to help? Join Master Weaver candidate Jennifer Johnson to have a conversation about all things hand weaving. From simple pin looms and rigid heddle looms to multi shaft large floor looms and everything in between, Jennifer has likely worked on it, repaired it, dealt with something similar or assisted a student with an issue that YOU could use help with. Jennifer focuses on best practices to allow weavers to be able to continue in their creative pursuits well into their 90’s and enjoys oddball work-arounds utilizing items from the home to solve weaving challenges (a temple made from toddler mitten clips and hook-eyes?!). Jennifer will bring several looms for conversation purposes. If your question is portable, bring it with you – if not, bringing photographs might help solve your mystery.

As the owner of Fiber Maker Studio in Greencastle, Indiana, her work focuses on mastering foundational techniques to unlock limitless creative expression in color and design. A dedicated community builder, Jennifer serves on multiple regional fiber boards, judges exhibitions, and teaches workshops across the Midwest, aiming to inspire the next generation of fiber artisans.
